Understanding death from a spiritual perspective, can help us to cope at this difficult time in our lives.

Grief is the name of the emotional experience following the death of a loved one, but can also be experienced following a variety of losses of our life. Loss of our job and career, loss of health and wellbeing or divorce following the loss of your marriage, or other significant relationships and friendships. To name a few of the many experiences of loss, any of us could undergo within our lifetime! Additionally many in depression feel a loss of their childhood, when trauma has occurred karmically in their young life, but then as an adult, the feelings of loss surface, not longer contained by their psyche.

When we experience “loss” – it has been found that our emotional recovery follows a “grief” process of several stages. These are:

Shock : Denial : Bargaining : Anger : Depression : Sadness : Acceptance

These phases or stages are in no particular order and have no specific duration. All of these stages will be experienced at some point and their conclusion will ultimately restore health and wellbeing once again.

Here is how many experience grief – a common thread – initially you will be shocked by your loss, especially if death [or the event] is sudden! Often flitting through denial, by still speaking of your loved one in the present tense and expecting them home; expecting them to walk in as usual! Thoughts of guilt are aroused at this time, when you regret not saying what you would have liked to have said … or done … before their death. The guilt  whether  perceived or real, nonetheless can eat away at you, destroying any future hope of recovery! Guilt will ultimately propel you into anger, corroding any hope of recovery from your loss, until anger; potentially all-consuming, is expressed and managed through spiritual awareness and mindful practices! With overwhelming grief, you will come to weep with a sadness that pervades every pore of your being, unknown to you before! Helpless in a hopeless situation, these are 2 of the pillars of depression. You are likely to feel unable to do anything, to function in a situation that feels hopeless, feeling stuck, thinking this is all there is. These beliefs; self-fulfilling prophecies and are what keep us stuck in grief.

When your loved ones pass over into spirit, they leave behind their physical body, but you are left in grief. Through these stages you become stuck. The courage to continue can only be found in our own healing.

Often people become stuck in one phase and feel helpless to climb out, without a sense of hope they stay there while others look on helpless, watching as their family and friends suffer painfully!

Lost in a sea of grief!

The situation is NOT hopeless!

Soul 2 Sole are happy to help! By contacting Soul 2 Sole, you are letting go of the thoughts and feelings of helplessness! Once you begin healing your grief, you will quickly find that there is hope, in accepting your loss!

Relaxation will calm the difficult memories and emotions, this will bring you into the quiet strength and serenity of your Soul, the place and state of healing the grief of your soul. Through the spiritual practice of meditation and with the memories of your loved one. Here, in time, a spiritual reunion will take place within your heart. You will come to realise that your loved one never left your heart, it is here where you remember them and are still together spiritually in meditation.

This will have a profound healing effect, and with practice will bring acceptance of their “death” and thus relieving you of the grief and loss that once darkened your Soul. It is the physical body that dies, your loved ones spirit lives on in your heart and soul. To welcome this belief brings the love and joy of healing from your grief.

Upon death of the human body, a last breath is the final resting of this our physical form. But the spirit lives on; energy cannot be destroyed! Many sensitive nurses, witness this final experience of death in our hospitals! They tell us how they too have seen a vapour or mist rising from and off the body; this is the energy of our soul, known to many as our spirit!

In meditation we relax to access the love in our own heart and soul … the aim of all meditation practice! To connect with love to those who have “passed over.” This term is a euphemism for the sight seen by some, as the energy passing over and leaves the body at death.

In sound meditation practice we can open our heart to release our grief and find the love once again for the soul who has passed over. The relationship if you desire can and will continue, to speak as you once did in life, but now through and in the stillness of mind and soul in your meditation! This is the beautiful and restorative healing nature we all possess. Life can then go on, as grief is gone!

If you have not undertaken any meditation practice previously and feel that this is a barrier to your healing; we are happy to help you. We can undertake the essential meditation preparation for you to undertake your grief healing.
