To shop prepare and deliver a “fantastic” Christmas for children is getting more difficult for some parents! The pressure from family peers schools and the media is mounting to “buy Christmas.”
The expectation of Christmas “old school” with real family value of love is lost in some families or gone where little remains of a traditional family values.
As the post suggests depression occurs in some parents and can be difficult to spot and they wear a mask.
It makes sense for parents, at some stage, to feel depressed, anxious or overwhelmed, to feel useless, angry and/or guilty. Whilst the article focuses generally on family life and its pressures. The timing of this post relates to the seasonal pressure of Christmas.
Do your best and nothing more. Have a Merry Christmas all xx.
